Here is a little warning for those who live a 'healthy' lifestyle,


Quick version: Don't sit around too long.



Long version: My job, when not writing, entails walking for about six to eight hours a day. Having heard that Vit D3 and Vit K2 are a good combination for heart health, I took them regularly. (K2 is a slight blood coagulant.) I got put on to a swimming pool operators course which meant sitting in an office for three days. End of the third day and I am now qualified. Yay! I wake at 1am to find a pain in my leg. Boo! Initial thoughts are DVT, so I go downstairs to find a half aspirin to thin the blood a bit. I enter the downstairs loo and feel faint. My hands are buzzing like 100 volts of electricity is flowing through them and I'm sweating like I just ran up Glastonbury Tor. An unknown time later I wake up in a very cramped position and wonder why I'm on the floor. I don't remember sitting down. In fact I remember nothing of the downward journey at all.

So, folks, be vigilant with your health, and check what you are doing when it comes to supplements and exercise.
